[Command]

(A dogfight in space is on the viewscreen.)
HUNT: Talk to me.
ROMMIE: Craft of unknown origin under heavy attack by three former Commonwealth fighters.
RHADE: The enemy of my enemy is
HUNT: Not defending itself.
ROMMIE: That's correct. I detect no defensive weapons of any kind on board.
HARPER: Either totally peaceful or totally crazy.
RHADE: He evades just about everything they're throwing at him. Superior skills.
BEKA: He could be a woman, Rhade. Probably is.
HARPER: Let's see. Advanced counter-measures. Rommie's right. He hasn't fired a shot.
HUNT: Then it's up to us.
ROMMIE: We are being targeted by the former Commonwealth ships.
HUNT: Battle stations.
ROMMIE: Correction. We've been targeted. They're firing.
HUNT: And so are we. Missiles tubes one through twenty, fire.
ROMMIE: Targets have been destroyed. We're being hailed.
HUNT: Show me.
(It is a woman.)
LOUISA [on viewscreen]: On behalf of Ambassador Galdamez of Arkology, I thank you for your timely help.
HUNT: Captain Dylan Hunt. Always happy to lend a hand.
BEKA: Nice flying, by the way.
RHADE: Better than nice. Absolutely outstanding. I am Telemachus Rhade out of Majorem by Rhade.
BEKA: Down boy.
LOUISA [on viewscreen]: Louisa Messereau out of Moira by Jordan.
RHADE: It's impossible. That Pride is extinct. Nine hundred years, Captain.
LOUISA [on viewscreen]: Report of our extinction has been greatly exaggerated.
HUNT: That much is evident. On board no injuries, I'm hoping?
LOUISA [on viewscreen]: No, but Captain, if I might. The attack damaged the GFG lens.
HUNT: We should be able to help with that.
RHADE: I look forward to running genealogy with you, Louisa Messereau.
HUNT: Hunt out.
HUNT: Been a long time, Rhade?

[Conference room]

HUNT: Ambassador, this is a treacherous region to be travelling without weapons.
TRANCE: Rogue elements of the Commonwealth patrol this entire region.
HARPER: I can help you out with some nifty AP cannons, missiles, you name it.
GALDAMEZ: Thank you, no, Mister Harper. I represent Arkology. Our provenance is peace.
HARPER: Arkology, huh? Never heard of it. And what the hack is peace in this whacked out times?
LOUISA: We find a loving approach to live brings the best results.
HUNT: That's a noble idea, but unfortunately peace needs defending.
GALDAMEZ: At Arkology we believe loving good will is the only appropriate response to the universe. We have found the universe returns this in many ways.
RHADE: Never heard of such a place, or how it continues to exist. As Harper says, these are dangerous times.
TRANCE: Mister Ambassador. Your mission, may I ask what it was?
GALDAMEZ: Indeed yes. I'm returning from a successful negotiation with the Magog, on that great vehicle they called the Worldship.
HARPER: A great vehicle they call the Worldship? I think you'd better stop smoking your peace pipe.
GALDAMEZ: We signed with various races there.
HUNT: Er, we have had experience with Magog. I find it difficult to believe that you are able to talk to them, much less negotiate.
GALDAMEZ: Still, Captain, I have signed treaties.
HARPER: They can write?
GALDAMEZ: Their leaders are quite civilised. I do hope you're not judging them by their less than beautiful looks.
RHADE: We judging them by their actions. They destroy entire cultures and populations. They bring nothing but death and mayhem.
HARPER: All right, listen close, Ambassador. The Magog are murderers. Insatiable monsters. They infest you with their eggs. They are utterly disgusting and
TRANCE: They are dark and evil beings.
HUNT: As I said, we've had experience with Magog.
GALDAMEZ: Captain, thank you for your views. But until they prove otherwise, I'll assume that it's you that do not understand the Magog.
(The Ambassador stands then gasps and clutches his abdomen.)
HUNT: Trance?
(Ambassador Galdamez's stomach moves.)
HARPER: Somebody tell me that's not what I think it is.
(Galdamez collapses. Green gunk comes from his mouth.)
HUNT: Back! Get back! Everyone back!
RHADE: He's dead.
(His stomach bursts open. Hunt and Harper shoot the emerging Magog.)
HUNT: This treaty is terminated.

[Command]

HUNT: We can intercept the Magog transmissions.
HARPER: Got to have the right bridgework to speak this proficiently.
ROMMIE: Processing and displaying. Vector of the Magog Worldship. Solid colour is position and speed, best estimate.
LOUISA: Rommie, please enlarge bravo neg seven victor.
ROMMIE: Enlarging.
(A planet is at those coordinates.)
LOUISA: Ganesha. Arkology orbits this planet.
BEKA: Bad luck. I'm sorry.
HUNT: It's not luck. The Magog had Arkology targeted at all along.
HARPER: A strategy. They infested the Ambassador as a covert tactic.
LOUISA: If we hadn't been delayed?
RHADE: The Ambassador would have infested Arkology with those Magog babies.
HARPER: They've never used tactics before.
HUNT: Welcome to the new world.
RHADE: Louisa, your craft didn't have any offensive weapons. Is Arkology the same?
LOUISA: We have no weapons, no.
HARPER: Boss, we've got to warn them.
HUNT: Beka, let's move them out of the way.
BEKA: Engaging slipstream drive.
(Whoosh.)
BEKA: By Ganesha.
LOUISA: And Arkology.
ROMMIE: It is roughly forty six kilometres long, eight wide with a five hundred thousand kilometres orbit. At the far end, there is an asteroid which provides raw material. Docking facilities are at this end.
HUNT: That's impressive. A self-sustaining Arkology.
LOUISA: Yes, Captain.
RHADE: Extraordinary. I've never seen anything like it.
ROMMIE: Records show nothing like it.
LOUISA: Captain, will you speak with the Council?
HUNT: The horrendous death of Ambassador Galdamez says it all. I will only add that you're out of time. Believe me, your Council take it from there. Shall we?

[Marlowe's office]

(Louisa leads Hunt, Rhade and Trance into an office with a view all along the centre of the gently spinning space station. Welcome to Babylon 5.)
MARLOWE: Louisa! It is good to see you safe. Welcome, friends. Welcome to Arkology. I am Marlowe. Welcome home, Dylan.
HUNT: Er, er, thank you. Wish we came with better news.
MARLOWE: You bring reality. There can be no better news.
HUNT: You're about to be attacked from the Magog.
MARLOWE: Ambassador Galdamez and I, we have had hoped
RHADE: There is no hope with Magog, only death.
HUNT: Excuse me, Marlowe. Louisa tells me that the Arkology is capable of slipstream?
MARLOWE: Well, at one time. We haven't had reason to leave orbit for a million million generations now.
HUNT: Well, things change. You need to move to a safer place.
MARLOWE: I don't know yet if we can do that.
HUNT: And why is that?
MARLOWE: All residents contribute to leadership decisions, Captain. We have a democracy of dreams. Three million children, women and men are living in peace.
TRANCE: Well, you must inform your people. Put it to a vote right away.
LOUISA: We meet in council every night.
RHADE: The entire population?
LOUISA: Above a certain age, all are welcome to the dream state. There we make our needs in desire known to the Council who represent us.
HUNT: You do this through dreams?
TRANCE: And you resolve your differences?
MARLOWE: We have no differences. We live in harmony, because we acknowledge each other.
TRANCE: Dylan, this is a significant place in the universe.
HUNT: I can see that. It's one of a kind.
TRANCE: If the Magog destroy it, they destroy the very best that living beings can create.
HUNT: Than let's save it. Please remind your people that there's little time for debate.
MARLOWE: Thank you, Captain. They will decide. We life in peace, we die in peace.
HUNT: I admire you for that, but living in peace is a better option.

[Eureka Maru]

BEKA: What is it about Arkology that just creeps me out?
ROMMIE: Need I remind you of your feelings in regards to the Abyss?
BEKA: Ugly, but beautiful. Arkology is just the opposite. Beautiful, something's is not right.
ROMMIE: Contradictions are an unavoidable part of all of our lives. Goals help keep them in check. You, I think in particular, need to have a goal to fulfill, a mission to complete.
BEKA: Like getting a fix on the Worldship. Copy that. Let's find us some big, hairy monsters.

[Arkology gardens]

RHADE: Your piloting skills are excellent.
LOUISA: Thank you, Rhade. I am one of the few who leave Arkology. There's no need to go anywhere.
RHADE: Peaceful life has his appeal.
LOUISA: But?
RHADE: I don't understand how a Nietzschean came to Arkology in the first place.
LOUISA: Well there are several reasons. I trace my lineage in Arkology one hundred eighty seven generations. Before that, I can't say.
RHADE: Anapurna Pride. You came here, yes, but why?
LOUISA: To learn the true Nietzschean way. The ultimate way of survival.
RHADE: Truer than survival through competition?
LOUISA: We came to learn respect to all creation.
(Children run past.)
LOUISA: No, wait, slow down. Sharla?
SHARLA: We're going fishing.
LOUISA: Keep an eye on Amarlia, then. She's still learning this weapon.
SHARLA: We will. Bye, Rhade.
(The children run on, laughing.)
LOUISA: You have an admirer.
RHADE: So it seems. You have an admirer as well.
LOUISA: Do I?
RHADE: I am. Er, Louisa, I find you to be. Oh, I'm not usually
LOUISA: Finish one sentence before you begin another.
RHADE: You are intelligent, bold, compassionate and beautiful. I want to know you.
LOUISA: That was worth waiting for.
RHADE: Marlowe doesn't understand the urgency of the Magog.
LOUISA: We do understand. May I invite you to dream state? Would you share with me, with us?
RHADE: I would be honoured.
LOUISA: You'll understand why we value peace about all things.
RHADE: I am a warrior, but I look forward to knowing peace through your eyes.

[Eureka Maru]

(In slipstream.)
BEKA: We're almost there.
ROMMIE: Arming weapon systems.
(They come out of slipstream and immediately have swarmships around them.)
BEKA: Look at this. We got Magog. We came out into a swarm!
ROMMIE: They're not supposed to be this close.
BEKA: More than the usual number of surprises this time.
ROMMIE: Magog swarm ships punching through the hull.
BEKA: Just looking for a Worldship.
(And there it is.)
BEKA: Oh shit!
ROMMIE: Got a fix!
BEKA: That's all the news I need.
ROMMIE: Preparing to repel attackers.
(The Maru returns to slipstream with a tail of swarm ships.)

[Corridor]

(Hunt is sleeping in his quarters. Then he wakes and walks through the ship, where he is greeted by strangers.)
MAN: Beautiful night. Welcome.
(Somewhere a soprano is singing.)

[Council room]

MAN: Beautiful night. Welcome.
(The soprano finishes her song and walks past a circle of seated people. Marlowe greets Hunt as she starts singing again in the far corner.)
MARLOWE: Captain Hunt, you come uninvited.
HUNT: Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realise. Oh, I'm going to need an explanation.
MARLOWE: This is dreaming state.
HUNT: Still no help.
MARLOWE: As our children reach maturity, we teach them to enter dream state. We call it the invitation.
HUNT: No one taught me.
MARLOWE: Exactly. You achieved dream state spontaneously. Uninvited.
HUNT: Then how I am here?
MARLOWE: You've always been here. Come, let me show you. This is the dream Council. Together, we reach all inhabitants.
COUNCILWOMAN: Welcome, Dylan.
COUNCILMAN: Thank you for the information on the Magog threat.
HUNT: My pleasure. So, you'll decide to move the Arkology.
MARLOWE: We will discuss it now and reach consensus.
HUNT: That's an interesting constellation.
MARLOWE: It is the Gateway. We use it to focus our thoughts and so join with the rest.
(It looks a bit like a three dimensional representation of a four dimensional cube. Marlowe joins the Council and they all hold hands. The Gateway solidifies briefly into the Route of Ages.)
MARLOWE: We have reached consensus.
HUNT: Good.
MARLOWE: We have decided not to move Arkology. We will meet the Magog Worldship with love and with compassion.
HUNT: But you can't!
MARLOWE: That is our way and our decision.
HUNT: No. No, no. You see, you don't understand.
MARLOWE: It is the ultimate test of our loving peace. We will meet it with dignity.
HUNT: You cannot defeat evil only with love.
MARLOWE: We believe you can. There is no evil here.
HUNT: Oh yes, there is. You just haven't seen it yet.

[Hunt's office]

(Trance tends the bonsai.)
HUNT: I do not understand the people on Arkology.
TRANCE: Peace is a way of life for them.
HUNT: Peace is fine, but they should do it somewhere else.
TRANCE: To them, death is not the end, it is not darkness.
HUNT: But they do not believe they will die. They think that peace and love will turn the Magog away. For all we know, the Abyss is influencing all their decisions.
TRANCE: The Route of Ages has many universes. It doesn't just lead to the Abyss.
HUNT: Then tell me why the Magog are breathing down our necks.
TRANCE: I do see death. I do see change, but Dylan? There is something here, vital for who you are.
HUNT: For me? I didn't come here for my own personal discovery.
TRANCE: You are the leader of the forces of light.
HUNT: I didn't ask for that job.
ANDROMEDA [on screen]: The Maru has exited slipstream, directly into a Magog swarm.
HUNT: We're on our way.

[Command]

HARPER: They're coming in hot. Hull has been breached and more are trying to get through.
HUNT: Clean them off.
HARPER: Cleaning.
(The swarmships are disposed of and the Maru crashes into the hangar bay.)

[Maru crew area]

(Rommie steps over the smoking remains of Magog as Harper and Hunt enter carefully.)
BEKA: Guess who's coming to dinner.

[Arkology core]

HARPER: And you want to take Arkology to slipstream? Huh. Never seen anything like this, boss.
ROMMIE: It is an odd mix of sophisticated antiquity.
HARPER: Yeah, like the Andromeda, but ugly and useless, with steam engines run by quantum chips.
HUNT: Can you get this thing to fly?
HARPER: Signs are hazy, boss. Give us a little time.
HUNT: Mister Harper, that's all you got.
BEKA: Because then we're out of here. Yes? Dylan? If we don't move this barge, it becomes a death trip.
HUNT: Right. Look, if it makes you feel better I realise that's a big universe out there, and we still have battles to fight.
BEKA: Very convincing. Work!

[Arkology gardens]

RHADE: I want you to take it.
LOUISA: You know I can't.
RHADE: Why? I must key it to your DNA.
(It is a forcelance.)
LOUISA: Rhade, no.
RHADE: I don't understand. Why won't you defend yourself?
LOUISA: Let me show you something.
(They walk forward to look down the length of the space station.)
LOUISA: This is Arkology.
RHADE: Louisa
LOUISA: What you can't see is the spirit that animates us. We are one with all creation.
RHADE: The Wayists have the same idea.
LOUISA: Not an idea. It is fact.
RHADE: Fact is Worldship. Fact is countless Magog. Fact is self-defence or death!
LOUISA: Is death a fact?
RHADE: Grr. I truly do not understand you.
LOUISA: Then understand this.
(She kisses him.)
LOUISA: We live by what we know is true or we are nothing. Anapurna Pride learned this by committing to Arkology.
RHADE: I am committed, to something I do not understand. You must help yourselves.
LOUISA: Then stay.
RHADE: I follow my Captain.
LOUISA: In these terrible days each must choose his own path.
RHADE: Louisa, please.
LOUISA: Let's not talk anymore. Share the sunset with me.

[Council room]

(Hunt shows Marlowe the Gateway turning into the Route of Ages.)
HUNT: Now.
MARLOWE: What is it?
HUNT: It's the Route of Ages. It leads to different universes, one of which controls the Worldship.
MARLOWE: Surprises even for me. And you found it.
HUNT: Mmm hmm.
MARLOWE: Captain, have you heard of the Paradine?
HUNT: The Paradine? Yes, the myth. Older than the stars, older than the universe.
MARLOWE: Never seen, always present, influencing the fate of the galaxies themselves.
HUNT: Yes, but it's a myth.
MARLOWE: We exist.
HUNT: Ha! Come on, Marlowe, no one lives that long.
MARLOWE: We are the Paradine. We are stationary. All comes to us.
HUNT: You are telling me that everyone here on Arkology is part of the Paradine?
MARLOWE: No, just two of us.
HUNT: Okay. You are one and the other one is?
MARLOWE: You, Dylan Hunt. You are one of the Paradine.
(The Council are holding hands.)
MARLOWE: The Paradine's journey span all time. Where and when the past began, even we cannot say.
HUNT: The past is up no consequence.
MARLOWE: You think?
HUNT: Your future is at stake here. You must convince your people to move the Arkology.
MARLOWE: They are no longer my people, Dylan. They now will turn to you. We have seen this also happen.
HUNT: I'm flattered, but I am already Captain of a starship.
MARLOWE: Yes, in your past. But now you are one of the Paradine.
HUNT: Fine. Then I'll convince them to move. To stay means to die.
MARLOWE: You resist where you can not resist, but that is understandable. Are you ready?

[Conference room]

HARPER: Stay?
HUNT: Just a little bit longer, yes.
HARPER: Here.
ROMMIE: Harper, repeating the information won't change what he said. Dylan, remaining here once Harper and I fix Arkology's engines
HARPER: If we fix Arkology's engines.
ROMMIE: If Arkology is capable to slipstream, what purpose can it possibly serve to stay?
BEKA: It's suicide.
RHADE: It is noble.
HUNT: It's the right thing to do.
BEKA: Right, I'm out of here.
HUNT: Beka.
BEKA: No! I've gone four years, through three galaxies, risking everything. And that's fine, but I'm not going to die here, defending some cockamamie notion of love and peace.
RHADE: It is not an idea. It is a fact.
BEKA: The first woman who comes along and wags her tail, and you go soft?
HUNT: So it's settled. Some of us will stay and some won't.
RHADE: I will stay.
(Beka leaves.)
TRANCE: This is not the end. Not yet.
HARPER: I still maybe able to get the slip drive going on that tin can.
HUNT: Make it happen.
(Harper and Rommie leave.)
HUNT: Rhade, work on the council members. See if you can change their minds.
(Rhade leaves.)
HUNT: Isn't it strange how a new idea can change your world view and make everything different.
TRANCE: If one accepts the idea.
HUNT: Marlowe told me something. It changes how I have to look at this.
TRANCE: There was something for you here.
HUNT: He told me that I am one of the Paradine.
TRANCE: Paradine? Without a doubt he is right. Dylan, I always felt that your presence had this timeless quality about it. That in some ways you were much older than I.
HUNT: And now you're just trying to make me feel bad.
TRANCE: The Paradine witness the creation of this universe. Perhaps they even had a hand in its creation.
HUNT: Yeah, I think I would have remembered that. I am just a small town boy from Tarn Vedra. I'm having a little trouble wrapping my mind around all this.
TRANCE: Reality is wider than a single mind.
HUNT: True, but I can't help these people if they let the Magog make a meal of them.
TRANCE: No plan survives contact with life. You told me that.
HUNT: This is death. These loving people, Trance, to save them I have to take their innocence. I don't look forward to that.
TRANCE: Innocence at this point is a liability, not a responsibility. But what ever happens, Dylan, I feel it is the end of our adventures as we have known them.

[Council room]

MARLOWE: We have come to a crossroads, dear friends. Time is when I shall leave you. No fear. Here in dream state, as in our lives, there is one who will take my place. One who will guide as you envision. You all know Dylan Hunt, now on a journey he did not expect, but one he embraces.
HUNT: Friends, I cannot be part of your wilful self-destruction.
MARLOWE: That is not your choice. We have seen this also happen. And now, dear friends, I must leave.
COUNCIL: What?
HUNT: Not unless everyone on the Arkology goes with you.
MARLOWE: Staying, leaving, going, it is all the same to the Paradine, Dylan.
HUNT: Well then, don't go.
(Marlowe transforms into a being of light.)
MARLOWE [OC]: You are in the hands of the Paradine. Dylan will guide you.
(The light disappears.)
HUNT: Er, you cannot stay here. This is not the dream you think you're dreaming. I'll prove it. Look! It is not what it seems. Just watch it closely. There. Right there. A doorway to many universes, and an entrance for evil. This is what you listen to. You're being manipulated into passivity. I can not give you purity, friends. I only bring reality.
COUNCILMAN: The Magog? You bring us despair.
HUNT: The Magog bring despair. I bring hope.

[Arkology core]

HARPER: Ha! With a little luck, this might work.
ROMMIE: You're cutting corners.
HARPER: It's not like we have lot of time.
ROMMIE: Twelve hours fifteen minutes, to be precise.
HARPER: Exactly, and there's three weeks of work here, so don't complain. I've never seen so many GFGs.
ROMMIE: Synchronising them could prove to be an interesting challenge.
HARPER: Interesting? Huh! More like a hopeless race against time.
ROMMIE: Shunting anti-protons through that loop might cause a breach in the magnetic field.
HARPER: Yeah, I know. So I bumped power to the field from here.
ROMMIE: Which could weaken the field here and here.
HARPER: So I compensated from here and here.
ROMMIE: Oh. That could work. Or
HARPER: Or boom we all die. I know. That's going to happen anyway. Do you mind? I'm sorry, Rommie. I think I'm a little tense.
ROMMIE: We all are.

[Arkology garden]

LOUISA: What we saw in the dream, what Dylan showed us, is it real?
RHADE: Yes.
LOUISA: For the first time, I feel different than before.
RHADE: What do you feel?
HUNT: Fear. That fear will keep you alive.
RHADE: You're planning to destroy their innocence.
HUNT: Destroy it to save it. Yeah, I know, it sounds bad.
RHADE: It sounds criminal. Captain, I'm finding life without aggression satisfying.
HUNT: Well, I find life without aggression is unrealistic.
RHADE: Not on Arkology.
HUNT: Not yet maybe. Go ahead, Andromeda.
ANDROMEDA [on comms]: I'm detecting a slipstream event. It's close. A swarm of Magog fighters, one minute to impact.
HUNT: It's time to choose, Rhade. Die for peace, or fight for peace?

[Command]

ANDROMEDA [OC]: Shipwide alert. Magog swarm ships on rapid approach.
BEKA: Andromeda.
HOLO-ROMMIE: Magog impact in thirty seconds.
BEKA: Every missile tube load and prep reload, now.

[Arkology garden]

HUNT: Keep fighting, Beka. We'll handle what comes our way down here.
RHADE: If you won't fight, I will, if only to save you and your people.
LOUISA: I will follow you in this.
(Rhade keys the forcelance to her DNA.)
RHADE: We will take this step together.

[Command]

HOLO-ROMMIE: Multiple ships are attaching to the far side, out of direct visual.
BEKA: They're using tactical manoeuvres. Every missiles tube, unload now.
HOLO-ROMMIE: Aye.
(The Worldship is also on the tactical display.)

[Arkology garden]

SHARLA: Dylan! The outer skin has been perforated by foreign ships.
HUNT: All right. Listen up! I need all of you to grab whatever you can to defend yourselves.
MAN: Nothing to defend our selves with.
HUNT: Prepare to fight!
(Crash!)
HUNT: Now!
(Magog make a hole in the wall and come pouring through. The Arkologists scream and run while Hunt and Rhade shoot. Louisa watches helplessly as a woman is grabbed and dragged away.)

[Command]

HOLO-ROMMIE: Seven Magog ships left. Targeting and eliminating in two, one. Targets eliminated.
BEKA: Okay. Taste of what's to come. If anyone wants me, I'll be on the Maru, packing.

[Arkology gardens]

(Louisa has finally started shooting Magog. Suddenly, there are no more to kill.)
HUNT: We need to teach these people how to survive.

[Arkology core]

HARPER: She's a beast, boss, I mean, fused valves with all these jumpers and cables, it's going to be delicate, fragile, you know? And that's even if I could get it up and running on time.
ROMMIE: I agree, captain. The Worldship is scheduled to arrive long before we'll be ready for it.
HUNT: I'm staying. I'm going to try to protect these people as best I can. You, er, Beka wants you back on the Maru.
HARPER: You're staying? I guess I do owe you one, don't I?
HUNT: A couple.
HARPER: I'll keep working on it. For now.
HUNT: Thanks. Rommie, don't let him out of your sight.

[Maru crew area]

(Rommie and Harper enter.)
BEKA: Great! You've come to your senses.
ROMMIE: Actually, we came to see you off.
HARPER: I am just here for an EMX sighter. You know, you could change your mind, boss.
BEKA: No.
TRANCE: Perhaps it's better this way. Perhaps, Beka, you will be the herald, warning everyone of that's to come.
BEKA: Thanks, Trance. Nice way of saying I'm running.
HARPER: Come on, don't be so hard to yourself. We're in a tough spot here. Do what you got to do. When the dust clears we'll see each other again, right, Trance? Right, Trance?
TRANCE: No.
ROMMIE: No, what?
TRANCE: No, we will never be together like this again.
HARPER: Ah ha! You said like this, so er, that means we will be together again in some other way, like er, like er, like when we're dead. This is just a possible future, Trance, right? I mean it is possible, something else could happen?
BEKA: Is that right?
ROMMIE: Trance?
TRANCE: I don't think so.
HARPER: That's the worst thing I've ever heard.
ROMMIE: Beka, don't do this. We're a team, and we stand a better change of survival if you stay.
HARPER: There's no way this is goodbye. I don't believe you.
HOLO-ROMMIE: I'm sorry to intrude, but I have detected the Magog world ship. It will be in firing range in ten minutes.
BEKA: It's hours early.
ROMMIE: None the less, it's here.
BEKA: Well, you know where I'll be.
ROMMIE: Harper.
(Harper and Rommie leave. Beka goes to the cockpit and cries quietly.)

[Command]

HUNT: Andromeda, visuals. Enlarge.
ANDROMEDA [on viewscreen]: Captain, the Magog world ship has began drawing enormous energies from it's slave sun.
TRANCE: They're powering up a point singularity weapon.
HUNT: That takes a while. Andromeda, battle stations! It's showtime.
TRANCE: It's too late, Dylan. I can feel it. They're going to fire now.
HUNT: Give me Rhade!

[Arkology gardens]

HUNT [OC]: Rhade, the Worldship has fired a PSP at Arkology.
RHADE: Run!!!
(A massive hole is blasted through the middle of Arkology and the air rushes out, taking debris and people with it.)

[Arkology core]

ROMMIE: I got you!
HARPER: Thanks!

[Arkology gardens]

RHADE: Don't let go!

[Command]

HUNT: This is it, Trance. This is it.
