DOOM/DOOM II UPGRADE PATCHES

File patches are available that allow you to upgrade older
commercial editions of computer-based Doom/Doom II games to
the latest versions produced by id Software.
In general, these patches will correct minor bugs, and may
add some functionality to the game.

These patch files do not work on pirated editions of Doom
or Doom II, and they will not upgrade shareware versions of
Doom to full commercial status.

IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU CAREFULLY READ ALL DOCUMENTATION
SUPPLIED WITH THE PATCH FILES BEFORE USING THEM.
Before applying patches of any kind, it is recommended that
you make sure your original game disks or CDs are available
and are fully functional.  (If not, make a backup copy of
your current Doom/Doom II hard drive files before applying
the patches.  Then, after your original files are upgraded
successfully, you can delete the obsolete backup files.)
