| 2 κύριε ἐν τῇ δυνάμει σου εὐφρανθήσεται ὁ βασιλεὺς καὶ ἐπὶ τῷ σωτηρίῳ σου ἀγαλλιάσεται σφόδρα 3 τὴν ἐπιθυμίαν τῆς ψυχῆς αὐτοῦ ἔδωκας αὐτῷ καὶ τὴν θέλησιν τῶν χειλέων αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἐστέρησας αὐτόν διάψαλμα 4 ὅτι προέφθασας αὐτὸν ἐν εὐλογίαις χρηστότητος ἔθηκας ἐπὶ τὴν κεφαλὴν αὐτοῦ στέφανον ἐκ λίθου τιμίου 5 ζωὴν ᾐτήσατό σε καὶ ἔδωκας αὐτῷ μακρότητα ἡμερῶν εἰς αἰῶνα αἰῶνος 6 μεγάλη ἡ δόξα αὐτοῦ ἐν τῷ σωτηρίῳ σου δόξαν καὶ μεγαλοπρέπειαν ἐπιθήσεις ἐ{P'} αὐτόν 7 ὅτι δώσεις αὐτῷ εὐλογίαν εἰς αἰῶνα αἰῶνος εὐφρανεῖς αὐτὸν ἐν χαρᾷ μετὰ τοῦ προσώπου σου 8 ὅτι ὁ βασιλεὺς ἐλπίζει ἐπὶ κύριον καὶ ἐν τῷ ἐλέει τοῦ ὑψίστου οὐ μὴ σαλευθῇ |
2 Well may the king rejoice, Lord, in thy protection, well may he triumph in thy saving power! 3 Never a wish in his heart hast thou disappointed, never a prayer on his lips denied. 4 With happy auguries thou dost meet him on his way, dost set a crown of pure gold his head. 5 Prays he for life? Long continuance of his reign thou dost grant him; to last unfailing till the end of time. 6 Great is the renown thy protection has won for him; glory and high honour thou hast made his. 7 An everlasting monument of thy goodness, comforted by the smile of thy favour, 8 he stands firm, trusting in the Lord; the favour of the most High is with him. |
2 Domine, in virtute tua lætabitur rex,
et super salutare tuum exsultabit vehementer. 3
Desiderium cordis ejus tribuisti ei,
et voluntate labiorum ejus non fraudasti eum. 4
Quoniam prævenisti eum in benedictionibus dulcedinis;
posuisti in capite ejus coronam de lapide pretioso. 5
Vitam petiit a te, et tribuisti ei longitudinem dierum,
in sæculum, et in sæculum sæculi. 6
Magna est gloria ejus in salutari tuo;
gloriam et magnum decorem impones super eum. 7
Quoniam dabis eum in benedictionem in sæculum sæculi;
lætificabis eum in gaudio cum vultu tuo. 8
Quoniam rex sperat in Domino,
et in misericordia Altissimi non commovebitur. |
